TERMS OF USE
Effective Date: September 23, 2026
1. Acceptance and scope
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of www.centralillinoistruss.com (the “Website”), including submission of quote requests. By using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Website. These Terms govern Website use; any later sale or project work is governed by the applicable written quotation, order acceptance, and other separately agreed terms.
These Terms govern only access to and use of the Website and the online inquiry process. They do not themselves establish terms for manufacturing, delivery, payment, installation, or a particular sale. Any later quotation, accepted order, purchase agreement, or other separately executed written agreement will govern the particular transaction to the extent its terms differ from these Website Terms. If you are using the Website for an organization, you represent that you have authority to submit inquiries and information on its behalf.
2. Website purpose and permitted use
The Website provides general information about Central Illinois Truss (“CIT”), its products and projects, and a means to request quotations. Use the Website lawfully and do not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or submit malicious content.
You agree not to use the Website to:
- Submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or unauthorized information or materials;
- Upload or transmit viruses, malicious code, or other harmful content;
- Interfere with the Website’s operation, security, or another person’s use of the Website;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its systems, accounts, or data;
- Scrape, copy, harvest, or systematically collect Website content or information without permission;
- Circumvent or attempt to bypass security measures or access restrictions; or
- Use the Website for any unlawful purpose or in violation of another person’s rights.
Central Illinois Truss may suspend access or decline to respond to submissions that appear abusive, unlawful, fraudulent, or outside its business scope. Nothing on the Website assures that a product or service is available in a particular geographic area or for any particular project.
3. Quote requests; no contract
Submitting the quote form is a request for quotation only. It is not a purchase order, an acceptance of an offer, or a contract. CIT has no obligation merely because a form is submitted to provide a quotation, products, services, or materials, or to accept or proceed with any project. A quotation, if provided, is subject to its stated scope, pricing, assumptions, expiration, and other terms. A binding obligation to supply products or services arises only upon CIT’s express written acceptance or a separate written agreement.
A request may require additional drawings, measurements, specifications, clarifications, or engineering review before a quotation can be prepared. Central Illinois Truss may accept, decline, request clarification about, or elect not to respond to any inquiry in its discretion. Estimated prices, preliminary discussions, automated acknowledgments, and Website communications are not an acceptance of an order. Unless a later written agreement expressly provides otherwise, no manufacturing, procurement, scheduling, delivery, or other performance obligation begins merely because a user submits the form or receives an acknowledgment.
A quotation may be based on assumptions stated in it or on information supplied at the time of preparation. Changes to plans, loads, quantities, jobsite conditions, scope, or applicable requirements may require a revised quotation and may affect price, lead time, and feasibility. Any quotation is valid only for the period stated in that quotation, if any. The terms of any actual purchase, including payment, taxes, freight, delivery, returns, and remedies, must be addressed in the applicable quotation and/or separate transaction documents.
4. Accuracy of submitted information
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete project details, including dimensions, jobsite information, loading requirements, bearing conditions, plans, drawings, specifications, and requested inclusions. CIT may rely on the information submitted when evaluating a request or preparing a quote. Changes, errors, or omissions may require a revised quote, schedule, design, or price.
Please provide current, legible, and complete project documents and identify any known inconsistencies, revisions, special loading conditions, concentrated loads, unusual spans, bearing requirements, or other project-specific constraints. Do not assume that submitting a drawing or specification means Central Illinois Truss has independently verified every dimension, field condition, or underlying design assumption.
You are responsible for promptly notifying Central Illinois Truss if submitted information changes. Where information comes from an architect, engineer, builder, owner, or other third party, you are responsible for obtaining appropriate authorization to share it and for coordinating any necessary corrections with that party. Central Illinois Truss may request additional information or decline to proceed if information is incomplete or conflicting.
5. Engineering, codes, and construction
Website content and preliminary quote materials are informational and are not approved construction documents or a substitute for project-specific professional design. Unless expressly included in a separate written agreement, CIT is not responsible for overall building design, site conditions, foundations, permits, code compliance of the overall project, installation, temporary bracing, or other work by owners, contractors, designers, or installers. Final responsibilities and deliverables are determined by the applicable written project documents.
A quotation, preliminary truss layout, conceptual drawing, Website illustration, or other pre-order communication should not be used to fabricate, install, alter, or load any structure. Where applicable, final truss design drawings, sealed engineering, approval procedures, and the allocation of design responsibilities will be addressed through the actual project and transaction documents. Do not treat a preliminary estimate as a final engineered design.
Unless expressly included in a separate written agreement, Central Illinois Truss does not undertake responsibility for the overall building design, design of supporting walls, beams or foundations, field verification of dimensions or bearings, jobsite safety, erection or bracing procedures, installation, construction sequencing, permits, inspections, or coordination of work by other trades. The building designer and other responsible project professionals must evaluate overall structural compatibility and code requirements. Installers must follow the final approved project documents and applicable installation and bracing requirements. Any field modification of a truss should be reviewed and authorized by the appropriate qualified design professional before work proceeds.
6. Products and project photographs
Product descriptions, dimensions, illustrations, and photographs are general examples and may not reflect the precise materials, configuration, or specifications for a particular job. Photographs of completed or ongoing projects illustrate past work, not a promise that another project will have identical results. Actual products and designs depend on project requirements and the applicable written agreement.
Published dimensions, spans, load capacities, product characteristics, and examples may reflect specific assumptions and are not universally applicable. Material grades, connector plates, design criteria, manufacturing tolerances, and other details may depend on the final approved design and applicable supply conditions. Website content is not a product warranty or a guarantee of performance for a particular application. Any express warranty, if offered, must be found in the separate applicable sale documents.
7. Website content and intellectual property
Unless otherwise indicated, Website text, photographs, graphics, logos, and other content belong to CIT or its licensors. You may view and print reasonable portions for your own evaluation of CIT’s products and services. You may not reproduce, publish, or commercially exploit Website content without permission except as allowed by law.
A photographed project may have been built under different codes, engineering assumptions, site conditions, or customer specifications. Appearance in a photograph does not establish that a similar configuration is suitable for another building. Photographs may include work performed by owners, builders, installers, or other parties, and should not be interpreted as a representation that Central Illinois Truss performed all work shown. Do not reproduce or reuse project photographs without permission.
8. Materials you submit
You represent that you have authority to submit the plans, drawings, photographs, and other materials you provide and that their submission does not infringe another person’s rights. You authorize CIT to use and share those materials as reasonably necessary to review the inquiry, prepare a quote, coordinate with relevant project participants, and, if separately agreed, perform the project.
No license to use Central Illinois Truss trademarks, trade names, logos, drawings, photographs, or proprietary content is granted except the limited permission necessary to view the Website and submit a legitimate inquiry. You may print or save a reasonable number of pages for internal evaluation of a potential project, provided you retain all notices and do not represent the content as your own. Requests for broader reproduction or publication require prior written authorization.
9. SMS communications relating to inquiries
If you provide a mobile telephone number with a quote request or inquiry, you consent to receive text messages from CIT about that specific request, including scheduling or confirming calls, meetings, appointments, and reasonable follow-up. CIT will not use a mobile number collected through the quote form to send unrelated promotional or marketing texts. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts. CIT may send a message confirming the opt-out. For assistance, contact CIT using the information below. Consent to texts is not a condition of purchasing products or services; you may contact CIT by telephone instead.
You retain whatever ownership rights you have in your submitted materials. Your submission grants Central Illinois Truss a nonexclusive permission to receive, reproduce internally, share with its employees, professional advisers, suppliers, and service providers as reasonably necessary, and otherwise use those materials for responding to the inquiry, preparing a quotation, evaluating feasibility, and carrying out any later authorized transaction. This permission does not by itself authorize Central Illinois Truss to publish your plans or project photographs for advertising. Do not submit information that you are not authorized to disclose or that is unnecessary to the inquiry.
10. Privacy
CIT’s separate Privacy Policy describes how it handles information collected through the Website. Please review it before submitting personal information. The Privacy Policy is provided separately and is not replaced by these Terms.
SMS consent is limited to communications related to the specific quote request or inquiry for which you provided the mobile number. Examples include arranging or confirming a telephone call or meeting, asking a follow-up question, coordinating requested information, and following up on the status of that inquiry. Central Illinois Truss will not treat this consent as permission to send unrelated advertising, promotions, or recurring marketing campaigns.
Message frequency is variable and depends on the progress of your inquiry. Standard message and data rates may apply under your carrier plan. You can withdraw SMS consent by replying STOP to a message; Central Illinois Truss may send a final confirmation of the opt-out. You may contact Central Illinois Truss using the contact information below if you have questions about these messages. Do not send sensitive personal, financial, or confidential project information by text. Providing a mobile number is not an agreement to purchase products or services, and opting out of texts does not prevent you from communicating by telephone or other available means.
11. Availability and third-party links
CIT may change, suspend, or discontinue Website content or features at any time. The Website may link to third-party sites for convenience; CIT does not control their content, security, or privacy practices. Review the terms and policies of any third-party site you visit.
Central Illinois Truss may change, suspend, or discontinue any Website feature without notice. The Website may be unavailable because of maintenance, technical issues, third-party services, or events beyond its control. While Central Illinois Truss seeks to provide useful information, it does not promise that every statement, image, specification, or link will be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your project. To the extent permitted by law, all implied warranties concerning the Website itself, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement, are disclaimed. This Website disclaimer does not displace any express obligation contained in a later binding written sale agreement.
12. Website disclaimers
The Website and its general informational content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular project, to the extent permitted by law. Do not rely on Website content in place of an approved project-specific quotation, design, or contract.
A link does not imply endorsement of a third party or its products. You should review the terms and privacy practices of any linked website before submitting information or relying on its content. Central Illinois Truss is not responsible for transactions you enter into directly with third parties.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CIT will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising solely from use of or inability to use the Website or reliance on its general content. This provision does not limit liability that cannot legally be limited and does not modify any rights or obligations under a separate written project agreement.
To the fullest extent permitted by Illinois law, Central Illinois Truss will not be liable for lost profits, loss of business, loss of data, project delay, or indirect, special, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from access to or use of the Website, inability to access it, reliance on its general content, or transmission of an online inquiry, even if advised that such damages were possible.
14. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify CIT against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your violation of these Terms of Use, your unlawful misuse of the Website or your submission of materials in violation of another person’s rights.
15. Changes; governing law; severability
CIT may update these Terms by posting a revised version and effective date. Changes apply prospectively to Website use after posting. Illinois law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, subject to applicable mandatory law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.
The Privacy Policy is maintained separately and explains the collection, use, sharing, and handling of personal information. Please review it before submitting a quote request. A link to the current Privacy Policy should appear on the Website and next to the quote form’s submission notice. To the extent a privacy disclosure differs from these Terms, the Privacy Policy governs the description of privacy practices; a separate transaction agreement governs the applicable sale.
